The EU project “Enhancing Criminal Justice in Kazakhstan” team meets with the stakeholders to discuss the progress
ASTANA - The second meeting of Project Steering committee of the EU project “Enhancing Criminal Justice in Kazakhstan” was held on October 4, 2016. The main purpose of the meeting was to discuss with the national partners/stakeholders the progress made during the interim implementation phase of the project, namely between April 2016 and October 2016 and the Workplan of activities for the next six months. A new Project Leader Bill Mather was introduced to the meeting participants.
The advanced “Training for trainers” course was held in the Kostanai Academy with the help of the EU project
On September 15, 2016 the “Training for trainers” course facilitated by the international experts and professional trainers Tom Patterson and Peter Rogers has ended in the Kostanai Academy of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan after Shyrakbek Kabylbayev.

The law enforcement officials of the Presidential Reserve will improve their leadership skills within the EU project
On August 8-26, 2016 Astana will host an extensive Leadership Training Course for employees included in the Presidential Reserve. The three-week course aimed at improving leadership and management skills of the officials has been designed by the group of experienced national and international trainers on the basis of the agreement with the Presidential Reserve faculty within the Law Enforcement Academy.
Judges of the Kazakhstan Supreme Court had a Training for Trainers in Burabay
On 14-15 July 2016, with the support of the EU a training course was held for Kazakhstan Supreme Court judges involved in teaching activities. The main task of the training is to provide the judges with the skills necessary for teaching in active learning groups with due consideration of working with adult learners. The event was arranged by the Supreme Court of the RoK jointly with the EU project “Enhancing Criminal Justice in Kazakhstan”. The same training was provided for the judges from different regions on July 7-8 in Astana.
