On October 2-6, 2017 there will be a seminar on “Modern Scientific Research Methods in Law Enforcement” in Astana. The leading experts of the Supreme Court, law enforcement agencies, the Academy of Justice and the Law Enforcement Academy will learn modern methods of criminological research, field studies in scientific research, modern methodologies in sociology of law, and the protection of children coming from socially vulnerable groups.

The Judges in Taraz learned modern mentoring and coaching techniques

TARAZ – On February 16-17 in Taraz the international experts from the European Union, His Honour Ian Karsten QC and Glynn Sixsmith Hookings delivered two-day mentoring courses for judges and judiciary personnel. The course aimed to prepare delegates to undertake the roles of being a mentor and being a protégé as part of the judicial mentoring scheme and to apply the relevant skills in their workplace.

The EU experts Bill Mather and Ben Zengerink took part in the VII Congress of judges as guests of honor

Today Astana hosted the VII Congress of Judges of the Republic of Kazakhstan. President Nursultan Nazarbayev opened the Congress which was attended by the judiciary, MPs, heads of central government and law enforcement agencies, as well as representatives of the legal community, international organizations, media and NGOs. The EU experts Bill Mather and Ben Zengerink took part in the Congress of judges as guests of honor.
